Interest Groups

We feature lots of study and interest groups for our members.  In AAUW we call them "Sections."  There are day and evening Sections of all types.

  • Art Appreciation: Share your artistic flair & hear invited speakers.
  • Book Bunch: Read and discuss books selected by group members.
  • Bridge: Bridge players keep their skills sharp.
  • Film Viewing: See and discuss movies with movie fans.
  • French: Polish your school French so you can converse fluently.
  • Gamesters: Challenge your mind playing dominoes, Uno, Phase 10, or whatever.
  • Gourmet II (reorganizing): Members plan, cook, and enjoy gourmet dinners.
  • Healthy Living: Hear and participate in discussions about healthy living.
  • Hiking: Take hikes at San Francisco Bay Area interest points.
  • Historic Preservation: Explore various historic Bay Area sites.
  • International Affairs: Hear and participate in discussions of countries around the world.
  • Mah Jongg: Enjoy this Chinese game played with tiles.
  • Mystery Books: Discuss the mystery book selection for the month.
  • Out-To-Lunch: Try that new local restaurant with friends.
  • Out-To-Supper: Explore local restaurants with friends.
  • Play Reading: Take one or more roles as you read a play with friends.
  • Public Policy: Explore and discuss issues of current interest.
  • Sip & Stitch: Bring a current project and work with friends.
  • Walkers: Exercise weekly with friends in various outside settings.
  • Women in Literature: Read and discuss great women authors' writings.
